How to Block Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsing history

If you use a web browser, browser history is stored for each website you visit. However, this only happens in a standard browser window, not in a private (“incognito”) browser window.

If for any reason, you do not want a standard browser window to store browser history on your computer, you will need to make an adjustment in the Windows registry. You then add a value in the registry that ensures that no browser history is stored on your computer.

The advantage of a standard browser window is that you can continue using all extensions and use a default or custom theme. However, some settings, such as extensions, are disabled in a private browser window.
