How to Turn on or Turn off Office Sidebar in Microsoft Edge

After extensive testing, Microsoft recently added a feature in the Microsoft Edge browser to display a sidebar for Office apps.

This sidebar provides shortcuts to online apps available in Office 365 via an app launcher. These are apps such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

There are only shortcuts, and a subscription to Office 365 (the online version of Office) is required to launch the apps. Suppose you don’t see this feature soon. In that case, I will also show you how to update the Edge browser to the latest version so that the Office apps in the Microsoft Edge sidebar do become visible.
